I read on here about this version on a thread about rare tracks, I am wondering if it is a one off.
On the 158TP12I promo the second track on the B side is called the PM Dawn Mix, which is the Alt. Lead Vocal without any main vocals, just the very faint, electronically filtered backing vocals. Is this actually the Dub? "Dubs" would basically be shortened instrumental versions in lots of cases.
Just a thought. |

What about the version on the select cassette form 1995/96? This is also a different mix than the Cd single version.
Can someone post a link or put the following versions on youtube?
Heal - Headz up remix
Heal - Liquid Vox/Liquid Wireless Mix
Heal - One seperation Dub
HEAL - Stronger than we can imagine
Heal - U-Matique Idol-Istic Mix
If anything can someone describe how they sound?
Thanx _________________ Transamazonia is a state of mind |

I think that's the one transam - http://www.discogs.com/Various-Unheard-Pleasures/release/250258
I think that was known as PM Dawn Dub from a previous thread on here... It is timed as 3:50, which is strangely exactly the same time as the Beatmasters Mix?
As for those mixes you asked about:
Headz Up Mix is breakbeat like the Science Park Mix but it has full vocals and is really good in my opinion.
Liquid Vox is not full vocals, despite what it promises and is quite mellow. Uses a slightly annoying sample in parts.
One Separation Dub is like Mighty Organs Mix but more repetetive and with the sample of M C saying "One" from his rap every so often, bit disappointing really.
Stronger Than We Can Imagine Dub is awesome, beat heavy with just the "Stronger than we can imagine" and "I feel the same way now as ever" lyrics. My favourite version, along with Science Park.
U-Matique Mix is long, hypnotic, has lots of weird effects and is almost sinister, if that is the right word! Builds well but never quite delivers. |

I have this cassette and this is not the beatmasters version. If i rememeber correctly it says that it is a P.M Dawn mix in the cover. _________________ Transamazonia is a state of mind |

Ah great, thanks for that! I was always intrigued about this mix - it sounds more like a cross between the HELP Breakbeat and the Headz Up Mix than the PM Dawn Alt. Lead Mix. I like the twinkly keyboards in the background. Not really a dub, I think the name PM Dawn Mix 1 as on the file fits better.
It's amazing how many of the remixes of Heal are breakbeat in style - the 3 mentioned and also Science Park and Awex Breakbeat Remix and Dub.
I guess people rate this version beacuse it drops Mr C's verse _________________ Sunrise, no surprise, another spectral morning... |
